About this event
The SISFV National Congress represents an important moment for professional updating and scientific discussion in the field of veterinary forensic sciences. Also this year the Italian Society of Veterinary Forensic Sciences has chosen a wonderful setting to celebrate its VI Annual Congress: ROME. This time it will do so in collaboration and synergy with the Ministry of Health and the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Lazio and Tuscany "M. Aleandri", and with the request for patronage of the Order of Veterinary Doctors of the Province of Rome, the National Federation of Italian Veterinary Orders, the Italian Union of Veterinarians of Public Medicine and the National Association of Italian Veterinarians.
The Congress is intended as a meeting place for doctors, veterinarians, biologists, laboratory technicians, researchers, young residents, representatives of law enforcement, judicial authorities and institutional figures involved in the prevention, management and evaluation of crimes against animals. The congress day "Risk perception and medico-legal truth: the role of forensic veterinary medicine in human-animal interactions" will be divided into two sessions: Matin: focus on the legal and psychological aspects related to the interaction between humans and pets, with particular attention to cases of canine aggression and the role of media communication in the perception of risk. Afternoon: in-depth study of human-wildlife interaction (confident animals, aggression by bears or wolves, ascertainment of predation).
